Seriously??

I've been finding it so hard to sleep lately. I don't know what it is! I've been waking up at around 3am every morning for the last little while. I wake up thirsty, and fully awake. Although I know I'm not really getting enough sleep I've been seeming to manage I suppose.

Nothing has really changed in the way of my life. Alex and Chris are wonderful. Chris has to work an 8 or 9 day run of shifts, but then he gets at least a 3 day weekend (maybe 4?) Which will be a wonderful time together. He likes his work though, and if he had too many days off I think he'd get whiny and want to go back to work hehe.

Alex is getting bigger and smarter everyday. He's learning to call me, which is super cute "Momma?...Momma?....*high pitch squeely voice* MOMMA MOMMA MOMMAAAAAA!" His efforts at crawling are still in the works, although he's getting increasingly distracted, and trying to stand instead. His hair is getting long, and some stray strands are hanging in his eyes, might have to trim those back even though it is cute to see him blink and bat his eyelashes :)

Yesterday we went and saw a steam locomotive that is part of a celebration of our province turning 150 years old. It was too neat for it's own good (I love trains). Although I wish I could have gotten onto the car that had been converted into a museum, the line was way too long for me to stand in, and I got bored and went off in search of shiny things. They had all kinds of things set up, food stands, crafts area, it was really neat. I had a lot of fun taking pictures of the old train (from 1930) and wished I could have taken pictures all day but good god there was a ton of (mostly rude) people there, and the music was too loud (don't I sound like a little old lady? lol) I didn't manage to get a video of it coming in or leaving, but I found quite a few on Youtube, so I'm happy about that!

Anyways, now it's nearly 4:30am, and I can hear the birds chirping happily outside, maybe I'll go out onto the patio and play with my plants awhile. Hope everyone (if anyone reads this even haha) has a good weekend. xox

Happy Father's Day!

Today is Father's Day. It's my Husband's very first Father's Day. Alex & I went and bought him a few presents, normal Father's day stuff. I held Alex up and he picked out a lovely (and expensive lol) tie, we bought Chris the ugliest slippers I think I've ever seen, but Alex picked them out and thought his Daddy would love them! We also found Chris a hat that says "World's Best Dad" or something to that effect. I made Chris a HUGE breakfast with eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes and pancakes. I was going to do cereal and toast but I thought that might be a bit much...lol.

The weather here has FINALLY perked up, and it's hot just like summer should be! The plants out on my patio are liking the heat and sunshine and are looking lovely.

Chris has today and tomorrow off work, which is super nice. I have a few things for him to do, but I'll put the honey-do list off 'til tomorrow since it's Father's Day!!

Anyways, have a great day. xox

Finally...

Well I rearranged our bedroom yesterday, and it's the first time in weeks I've slept good. I rearranged it quite similar to our old bedroom, thank goodness!

Alex is going to be 7 months old tomorrow (Father's Day). I can't believe how big he is and how fast time has gone by. But also I think of how much time hasn't gone by, and I realize I'm taking time to enjoy him and the person he is beginning to be everyday. He's almost crawling, he can get up on his hands and knees and he wiggles around a lot but can't kind make the hands and knees work together. Another thing he's been doing lately is dancing, he can hear any kind of music or a repetitive sound that seems like music, and he wiggles all over the place! It's quite cute (but I am a little biased! haha)

I've been going through some emotional junk, with family members being sick, and one passing away. But I just try and remember everything I can, and hang onto those memories because when it's said and done, all the money in the world doesn't matter. Those memories are what will get you through.

Anyways, enough of that stuff. I should go and get the baby up for breakfast and a fun-filled day of smiles and giggles. I love being a Mom! xox

I Climb The Walls, I Can See The Edge But I Can't Take The Fall

So I switched this page around again. I just don't have the time to try and update everything but I want to be able to blog to keep in touch with people. So this is what I've resorted to lol. Anyways, everything is going so good. Since I last blogged (like, back in November, about the birth...) a lot has changed. Chris has changed jobs, and is enjoying his new one. Alex is now nearly (as of June 15th, 2008) 7 months old and is growing like a weed. He got his first 2 teeth, in 2 days. The first one reared it's ugly toothy head on May 23rd, and the second one came May 24th. That very same weekend we moved into a 2 bedroom apartment. It's quite similar to the one we had before, except a bit bigger, with the second bedroom and a lot more storage. I've been working on getting my drivers license, so it will be super nice once I actually get it. Anyways this is just a short little note to tell anyone reading what we are up to and test this thingy out a bit ;) xox
