Seriously??
I've been finding it so hard to sleep lately. I don't know what it is! I've been waking up at around 3am every morning for the last little while. I wake up thirsty, and fully awake. Although I know I'm not really getting enough sleep I've been seeming to manage I suppose.
Nothing has really changed in the way of my life. Alex and Chris are wonderful. Chris has to work an 8 or 9 day run of shifts, but then he gets at least a 3 day weekend (maybe 4?) Which will be a wonderful time together. He likes his work though, and if he had too many days off I think he'd get whiny and want to go back to work hehe.
Alex is getting bigger and smarter everyday. He's learning to call me, which is super cute "Momma?...Momma?....*high pitch squeely voice* MOMMA MOMMA MOMMAAAAAA!" His efforts at crawling are still in the works, although he's getting increasingly distracted, and trying to stand instead. His hair is getting long, and some stray strands are hanging in his eyes, might have to trim those back even though it is cute to see him blink and bat his eyelashes :)
Yesterday we went and saw a steam locomotive that is part of a celebration of our province turning 150 years old. It was too neat for it's own good (I love trains). Although I wish I could have gotten onto the car that had been converted into a museum, the line was way too long for me to stand in, and I got bored and went off in search of shiny things. They had all kinds of things set up, food stands, crafts area, it was really neat. I had a lot of fun taking pictures of the old train (from 1930) and wished I could have taken pictures all day but good god there was a ton of (mostly rude) people there, and the music was too loud (don't I sound like a little old lady? lol) I didn't manage to get a video of it coming in or leaving, but I found quite a few on Youtube, so I'm happy about that!
Anyways, now it's nearly 4:30am, and I can hear the birds chirping happily outside, maybe I'll go out onto the patio and play with my plants awhile. Hope everyone (if anyone reads this even haha) has a good weekend. xox
